Compliance · Travel Rule

Originator and beneficiary data,
exchanged where the rule applies.

KwiikPay applies FATF Recommendation 16 — the Travel Rule — to qualifying fiat and virtual-asset transfers. Where it applies, we collect, verify and securely transmit the required originator and beneficiary information to counterparties.

What we transmit

The information that travels with a transfer

For qualifying transfers we exchange a standard data set with the receiving institution or VASP, using the IVMS-101 schema.

How it works

From quote to settlement

01

Collect

We capture verified originator details at onboarding and at the point of transfer.

02

Identify counterparty

We identify the receiving institution or VASP and confirm it can receive Travel Rule data.

03

Transmit securely

Required data is exchanged over a secure protocol (IVMS-101) before or alongside settlement.

04

Screen & record

Both parties are screened against sanctions lists, and the exchange is logged for audit.

Scope
Applies to fiat wire transfers and virtual-asset transfers above the applicable de-minimis threshold in the relevant jurisdiction.
Data standard
We use the IVMS-101 data model to support interoperability with other regulated institutions and VASPs.
Counterparty due diligence
We assess the regulatory status of counterparties and may decline transfers where required data cannot be exchanged.
